Miranda Leija

Miranda is a dedicated and compassionate physician assistant who grew up in San Antonio, Texas. From a young age, she developed a deep interest in medicine and a strong desire to help others, which led her to pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of the Incarnate Word. Her time there helped shape her commitment to service and laid the foundation for her journey into the medical field.

After completing her undergraduate education, Miranda relocated to Houston to attend the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine, where she earned her degree as a Physician Assistant. Throughout her training, she remained grounded in her values of compassion, kindness, and empathy—principles that continue to guide her approach to patient care. Her time at Baylor not only strengthened her clinical skills but also deepened her belief in treating the whole person, not just the condition.

As a new graduate,  she is committed to improving the quality of life for patients dealing with chronic and acute pain. She approaches each case with a deep sense of empathy, understanding that pain affects not only the body but also a person’s emotional and mental well-being. Miranda values patient education and individualized care plans, working closely with her patients to find effective, compassionate solutions tailored to their unique needs. She is proud to be part of a specialty that allows her to make a meaningful difference in people’s daily lives and looks forward to growing her expertise in this essential area of medicine.
