From the beginning of my visit with Jasmine and Jennifer Gonzales they made me feel so welcome and made it easy to set my appointments. When I had my procedure Daisy made me feel comfortable with putting my IV in before my procedure. While in the room Christian and Mckayla made me feel safe while being prepped to have my steroid injections before my sedation. Once Dr Gonzales got into the room he made he aware of everything I was about to go through, which is important to me. He’s been great ! This is the standard for quality care! As one of many veterans that goes through pain management often, I cannot recommend this place enough. From one vet to another or a civilian; the care is top notch no matter who you are. Dr. Gonzalez is a true leader; he knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way in everything he does. I’ve felt so much less pain in the last year of care with Dr. Gonzalez and staff. I’ve gotten back into fitness routines and activities that I never thought I’d be able to enjoy again. I just overall feel like a better version of myself since I walked into this office.
Christina always greets me with a smile and answers any questions she’s able to. Sam is amazing coordinating my pre authorizations and Mandi is so friendly and warm and makes sure I have everything I need to ensure my claims go smoothly. Big shout out to the medical assistants Krystal, Jasmine, Veronica, and Marissa. They work so efficiently as a team and ensure they give you their undivided attention and care. They’re never annoyed by questions even though they’re constantly busy.

I don’t know if I have the words to explain fully what Dr. Gonzalez and his staff have done to help me with severe back pain, but I will try.

First of all, the staff here is amazing, they are very professional and friendly; they know what they are doing and they have a great, quick system in which they work. Secondly, I have been to a few doctors to help me with pain management and I have never had relief like I do now. Dr. Gonzales is a miracle worker for me as is Kristi McCoy, PA. They are both gentle and kind, which is really nice when you feel anxious about your pain. When I get a procedure done with Dr. Gonzalez, he is thorough and he just puts you at ease. He has given me the relief I have needed so that I can run around with my small grandchildren.

Lastly, I would recommend Dr. Gonzalez to anyone I know, including family. That’s saying a lot. I am very grateful.

Had a car accident recently with double whiplash and got two herniated disc one on my neck to shoulder in my left side and one on my lower back to the waist on my left side. The pain from those injuries has been unbearable to say the least the headaches were excruciating. Dr. Gonzalez has been so patient with through your this whole process. He did epidurals for the herniated disc he was so gentle even though I was so nervous he reassured me that everything is gonna be alright and the staff here are amazing too kind and caring

Hi Dr. Gonzalez, I just wanted to take time to let you know what a wonderful staff of workers you have assembled. You probably already know this, but sometimes just need confirmation. I have always thought your staff at both locations were exceptional, from the registration desk, all the way to your top assistants.
I would especially like to tell you that Jennifer Wall and Michael at your southside location went above and beyond a couple of weeks ago. On February 9, I had an appointment scheduled to have steroid knee injections there. In the meantime, I received word that Dr. Fichtel was scheduling my Boston Scientific implant for Feb. 14. I had no idea that this was a matter of importance, but fortunately, mentioned it to Jennifer and Michael just as I was getting on the table at the office. Immediately, both of them said that no, I should not have the injections right before the surgery and we cancelled immediately. Thankfully, your staff is so well-trained that they immediately recognized a problem and did not continue.
I just felt that you should know how much I appreciate your great choice of people working for you, from the very bottom, right up to the top, and for all your kindness and great treatment also!

Dr. Gonzales is a great pain doctor. He and his staff are always friendly, professional, treat you very well, n with respect. He puts ur needs first and does not ignore any request from any patient. I have been his patient for over 1yr and a half and ever since I had stepped foot into his old practice and continued to follow him to his new one, he and his staff have treated me as part of the family as we get to know each other a little more with each visit I have. I have to yet to have a bad experience and doubt the I ever will.
He takes him time and listens to every concern you have. Everyone will go above and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as they can with the warmest smiles. Dr Gonzales does his best in every which way to make you feel as pain free and comfortable as he can. You can tell by the way he talks to you that he cares about each and everyone of hos patients. I would highly recommend him to anybody. He and his staff are the best!! I am very fortunate to have him as my pain doctor. He has got to be the best pain doctor in San Antonio.

Professional and personal service. The staff here was very friendly and kept communications clear as far as scheduling and who I would be seeing. My initial meeting was with Dr. González. He listened to what I had to say and gave educated feed back. We discussed what would give me the best results for 2 herniated discs. I decided on the product Discseel. As someone who had never had a prior surgery, a non invasive route felt best however, this procedure would give me more benefits than that. Dr. González made me feel comfortable from the day we spoke and through the treatment. He has gained my trust. I felt great after having gone through treatment, practically back to normal.
I had a follow up meeting after with PA McCoy. She was very pleasant. Our conversation was detailed in what to expect afterwards and best practices for the up coming weeks.
Mind you, this is several weeks after treatment and I still feel great. Thank you all for your excellent customer service and helping me get back to where I needed to be. I will recommend you to anyone who may be in need of your services.

Awesome pain management Doctor!
Took my mother here today to receive her lower back injections. Something she has had to receive for over 5 years already. She suffers from degenerative disc disease and has lost her range of motion due to her severe pain in her back. After dealing with pain management doctors over the past five years or more, we had become accustomed to being treated just like a “patient on the schedule.” However, this was not the case here. From the moment we walked in we were treated with courtesy and friendliness. And Dr. Gonzalez was awesome. He mentioned right off the back that his job was to make sure my mother was going to get better as fast as possible and for the long term. Well, needless to say, he is a man of his word. For once my mother was actually able to walk out to the vehicle on her own. Without being assisted . In her case she felt instant relief! Which is remarkable, considering her condition and the multiple pain doctors we had seen. Let me also mention that being prior military, I have had the privilege of working around some of the best pain management doctors the U.S. can buy. Non of which has stood up to what Dr. Gonzalez did for my mother today. Dr. Gonzalez is extremely gifted at what he does. That is very obvious to us now. We highly recommend him.

I really like these people warm friendly and well oiled ..They know their stuff from intake to actual procedure time. The staff is joking but professional and they seem to all get along like, work family, but I suspect it’s Dr. “NARSISO” his serious determined face and pronounced my last name perfectly maybe using voice software (lol) and I decided to try his name really not carefully reading it on the many accomplished degrees hanging on the walls in the examination room! I did not pronounce it and was quickly made aware the tearing up of his name I said “Narsisco” then he proceeded to go through his intake of pain evaluation very very thorough and listened but was not afraid to exert his obviously dept of experience and knowledge regarding my gauging the pain and it’s possible source. It’s really reassuring to have someone who is about to stick a giant syringe in your spine to be on point interested, engaged, and a degreed Anesthesiologist.
He commented, just before starting “those YouTube videos really helped , was glad I had completed them and was happy to finish them prior to the procedure!!!” That’s when I knew I really like this man. 5 stars will be doing my PAD SURGERY THERE AS WELL…

I was referred to Dr. Gonzalez for neck and head pain management. I have had 4 cervical fusions in a 10-year span, extensive physical therapy, meds in all forms and every diagnostic test possible. My first visit with Dr. Gonzalez was very enlightening and I could not have expected the care and professionalism I received. Dr. Gonzalez did not shuffle me off to schedule MRIs, CTs, physical therapy or prescribe a dozen meds. This would have delayed my relief and generated dozens of insurance claims. The most compassionate and experienced Dr I have ever met. After 21 years of pain, I finally found a Dr with such a caring attitude when it comes to his patients. I have been seeing Dr Gonzalez for years now. I immediately felt at home because of his amazing staff. I came to him frustrated, in pain, and with a fairly low quality of life. I had lost faith in healing as I had a pain doctor that just wasn’t right for me. Within the first week of seeing him, we were trying different things. He has never given up on finding something to help me. Recently I completed a six week low dose ketamine infusion. After serving 30 years in the United States military, I have suffered 6 broken fingers, a broken ankle, two broken toes, a broken leg, a broken back, 2 separated shoulders, two ripped rotator cuffs, two torn bicep tendons, and I have had over 200 stitches in my head, neck, face, back, and arms. Dr. Gonzalez and PA Kristy McCoy have brought more relief to all of my physical ailments than all the other doctors I have seen in the past. PA McCoy performs in a manner which is quantum-leap above all other PAs and she sets a great example by her enthusiasm, motivation, competence, patient care, and work ethic. The military has caused a lot of turbulence in my daily, weekly, and monthly schedule which resulted in numerous appointment changes, procedure dates, records requests, and other administrative duties. I can’t say enough good about Christy McCoy PA-C and Dr Narciso Gonzales, MD in their helping me manage my bodily aches and pains due to inflammation, arthritis, gout and accidents over the last 5 or so years. The results have been terrific. And I know what I’m talking about. They have treated me for back and leg pain from a spinal microdiscectomy, osteoarthritis in my lower back, ankle and foot joint pain from gout and bone spurs, inflammation and clacking in a jaw hinge and pain from accidental injuries to both my rotator cuffs. Soon, I will be treated for chronic ischiogluteal bursitis which prevents me from sitting comfortably and sleeping on my back. The members of this clinic listen attentively to their patients, are compassionate and professional. They are extremely knowledgeable and their therapies have allowed me to live a much more normal life. Don’t waste your time like I did with another pain doctor. I had had shoulder and arm pain for 8 months and went to another doctor and all he did was send me to therapy without any xrays he wasted my time and money His name is Dr Mark Moran. When I went to Dr Gonzalez he immediately determined what was wrong with me and did an ultra sound. My shoulder is worse than i thought i may need surgery. Dr Gonzalez gave me a shot so i have been pain free for serveral weeks now and i can finally get a good nights rest. Thank you Doctor Gonzalez for helping me!

I take my girlfriend here to do her procedures. She has suffered from back pain for years and Dr. Gonzalez and his staff do wonders and really helped my girlfriend relieve her pain. My name is Tina Moore I have been a patient of doc G’s for a couple of years now! After my surgery in 12/07(ankle fusion) nothing seem to work for the pain I was in all I could do was cry! I got to the point where because of this opioid epidemic my ortho doc(Who highly recommended that I have this surgery) and my primary care doctor was not hearing me & was thinking I was just a seeker! I was not I finally got the nerve to talk to doc G I thought he would say the same thing (This is the way I was feeling)he listen and made me feel that it was some hope!
